THE ROLE: DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Join the team at Cameron House as our Director of HR and make a real impact on our culture and employee relations. We're looking for a passionate and experienced HR generalist with a strong track record in coaching and supporting Heads of Department to drive effective people practices and promote engaging learning and development.
As we focus on driving our "We Care" culture and achieving our 74% retention target in 2023, we need a dynamic and inspirational leader who can help us strengthen our Clan through great teamwork and communication. You'll report to the Resort Director, and oversee an established team of 7 in Human Resources and Learning and Development.
Some of the things you will be responsible for:
Organisational structuring to ensure high quality employee and guest experience
Proactive talent acquisition using recruitment tools to deliver a best-in-industry candidate experience
Overseeing and participation in the delivery of our industry leading Clan Welcome (Induction), and departmental onboarding processes
Building leadership capability through coaching and mentoring, supporting senior colleagues to drive the business forward
Lead a programme of high quality targeted on and off job learning and development tools, and on job training.
Overseeing a progressive discipline policy, and executing standards for coaching counselling and corrective actions
Overseeing a fair and transparent grievance policy and supporting industrial relations
Driving a suite of competitive benefits and bonus and incentive schemes
Creation and management of diversity, equality and inclusion initiatives
Supporting occupational health, safety and wellbeing
Directing improved standards of internal communication
Overseeing strategic planning for succession across Executive, Senior Management and supervisory levels
Capture and analysis of exit interview data to improve the talent lifecycle process
Driving the efficient management of annual budgets, including payroll

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY YOU WILL ALSO NEED:
- Degree/Postgraduate Diploma level qualification in Human Resources Management, CIPD accredited (or equivalent).
- Significant generalist experience in the HR function at a senior level, ideally in the hotel industry
- Experience of leading an HR/Learning and Development team
- Experience working with large diverse teams (Cameron House employs 650 employees)
- Creative and inspirational leadership ability
- Passion for serving people with love
- Significant experience of handling complex ER cases and industrial relations, with strong knowledge of employment law
