Director of HR - People and Culture

POST TITLE: Director of HR - People and Culture

GRADE: D1-D4 (£57,654 - £62,999)

HOURS OF WORK: 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday – Thursday, 8.00am – 3.30pm Friday

FULL TIME: 37 hours per week, Full time (52 weeks)

POST STATUS: Permanent

LOCATION: Marches Academy Trust, Shropshire

Come and lead our friendly HR Team providing our family of 11 schools with a high-quality HR and payroll service for approximately 800 employees and growing. We are open to applicants from varying organisations and businesses and those working in education backgrounds. We need someone with the experience to support our People First Strategy and achieve our strategic vision for being the employer of choice.

To be successful, you will be:

  • an outstanding practitioner with a proven record of substantial experience of as a HR generalist leading human resources in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • a flexible and strategic thinker and able contribute to the strategic direction of the Trust.
  • proficient in maintaining and maximising implementation of human resources information systems and leading on the direction in advancing the use of technology in HR functions.
  • able to lead others, ensuring day to day logistics are in place.
  • resilient and calm when under pressure – modelling a clear and accountable approach to leadership.
  • an outstanding communicator.
  • driven and enthusiastic and able to motivate and further develop our professional team.
  • determined to play a pivotal role in providing excellent service to the Trust.
  • able to demonstrate evidence of development and coaching within teams to build employee capability.
