Gong cha (Royal Tea) is a leader in the growing specialty beverage (Tea, Coffee and Juice) industry originating from Taiwan. With a successful business model that has seen expansion of over 1,800 Cafes worldwide in 20 countries. We, Gong Cha California, are the first Franchisee company to bring the brand to the United States and are looking at aggressive expansion throughout California!
We are currently seeking a full-time Franchise Development Director to lead all franchise development and growth for Gong cha brand in California.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and direct all aspects of Franchise Development strategy and process
· Builds a franchise development pipeline and process that consistently generates qualified new franchise prospects to meet the Company’s short/long-term growth plans
· Maintains solid relationships with new franchisees to maximize new business opportunities for these franchise partners
· Develops effective franchise sales programs that generate interest in the brand from prospective franchisees
· Work closely with franchise operation managers to transition new franchisees
Qualifications
· Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task while meeting tight deadlines with fast-changing priorities
· Ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions
· Objective-oriented self-starter with the independence, initiative, and drive to succeed with a flexible, can-do approach to strategic planning and problem solving;
· Excellent negotiation skills; familiar with all aspects of franchise sales and development processes, multi-unit acquisitions and divestitures with ability to work across functions;
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate documentation and reports; read, interpret, explain and apply information on business processes
· Minimum 5+ years’ experience in franchising business
· Proficient computer skills, including basic MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
· Position requires travels. Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
Compensation:
Wage commensurate with experience
