Director of Engagement (IT)

Will you be known locally by our staff as the Chief Happiness Officer?
You will be responsible for leading the customer, research and employee engagement teams. This includes an outward-looking facet, focusing on customer engagement, and an inward looking component focusing on employee engagement and Agile coaching. A customer centric focus will deliver a strong connection between IT Services and the broader University. Empathy and understanding will help to enable effective two-way communication and collaboration. Supporting employee engagement and development within the IT Service is a key area of priority and includes learning, development and managing culture change.
The University has committed to a significant investment in the Digital Transformation Strategy underpinned by the modernisation of IT Services and equipment to ensure its successful delivery. The post holder, as a senior member of the IT Executive team, will have specific responsibility for developing a strategy to provide excellent customer and stakeholder experience whilst also developing and leading talent within the IT Service. You will also lead on developing an engaged, flexible and adaptable IT workforce, building a positive team environment that enables colleagues to thrive and prioritises inclusivity and wellbeing.
