As we continue to grow, we are seeking a high performance, self-motivated, experienced professional who is looking for an opportunity to help drive our business as a Director, Strategic Services. This high visibility, customer-facing position provides the opportunity to both engage directly with C-Level leaders in global organizations, as well as lead internal cross-functional teams in the implementation, measurement, and delivery of services and value.

Ideal candidates should be analytical problem-solvers with a successful track record and experience with SaaS based software solutions, soft good/hard good retail industry experience, and project management experience. Relatable experience with demonstrable understanding of product-to-market processes and associated KPIs is necessary.

The Director, Strategic Services primary responsibility is creating detailed, actionable operational/implementation plan, managing implementation process, transferring knowledge for customer understanding and engagement thereby increasing utilization and adoption by ensuring that:

  • FI solutions become an integral part of the customer’s workflow
  • Strategic guidance is provided to the customer to achieve highest level of utilization and value through use of FI solution
  • FI solutions are understood and adopted within and across customer functional teams
  • Strategic and actionable guidance and measurable value are delivered
  • Opportunities for greater value and growth are identified and promoted with the customer

As a Dir., SS at First Insight, you will:

  • Demonstrate how First Insight’s solutions can actionably impact a customers’ strategic and tactical goals in product to market decisions delivering a significant positive impact to operational performance and profitability.
  • Manage activation/implementation process effectively to achieve high adoption.
  • Showcase current best practices and successes - highlighting the early and ongoing value of FI solutions and partnership.
  • Transfer knowledge on how to interpret and apply output data of FI’s solution suite to support decisions and decision- makers in attaining business goals and supporting initiatives.
  • Guide our customer in methodology, best practice use, and integration of FI solutions to experience greatest value.
  • Engage with retail industry partners understanding current strategic challenges and trends identifying opportunities to further support our customer’s achievement of business goals and improve KPIs
  • Identify opportunities to strategically integrate solution with customers for increased utilization, adoption and value realization

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Assess & evaluate new customer requirements against the scope of the project
  • Create activation/operational plan
  • Manage implementation, training, communication and strategic utilization with customer teams
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, associated tasks and communication to ensure that strategic solutions are delivered within time and cost constraints
  • Identify, document, and manage project risks and escalate issues to leadership for timely resolution
  • Work with Business Analysts to accurately measure solution against customer KPIs
  • Prepare project status metrics, reports and presentations to keep management and all customer stakeholders informed of the project status, utilization and value delivery; problem solve issues
  • Drive best practice usage, and adoption of FI’s software solution throughout customer organization
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and end-users at all levels of the customer organization
  • Educate/train new customers teams on use of solutions - best practices and applications to align with customer business strategy
  • Present and articulate advanced solutions, and benefits
  • Facilitate business case development
  • Coordinate with internal and customer teams in person and virtually
  • Act as an evangelist to position First Insight solutions across functional teams within customer organization

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 10+ years retail and technology experience (Experience with SaaS Platforms is desired)
  • 3+ years project management experience
  • Deep understanding of the retail industry along with risks and complexities of the go-to-market process
  • Ability to take an active role in account strategy and planning with a sales partner to build and execute a comprehensive operational/implementation customer strategy
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and balance multiple responsibilities
  • Outstanding communication/interpersonal skills to include listening, verbal, written & presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive – driven to provide optimal results
  • Assertive and goal-oriented with high personal drive, integrity, and a positive attitude
  • Comfortable working in a team environment with all levels of internal and customer organizations
  • Hybrid WFH: willing and able to travel 40-50%
