Job description
The Director of Paid Media at Modifly is an experienced professional with extensive expertise and a strong passion for developing effective strategies and ensuring the successful implementation of paid marketing campaigns to exceed clients' goals. This role is a managerial position, responsible for managing a team of Paid Media Strategists & Buyers and reporting to the Head of Paid Media.
The Director of Paid Media is also responsible for overseeing the performance of multiple client accounts, strategically developing client strategies, and consistently presenting new opportunities to drive measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
People Management
- Take a leadership role in key departmental initiatives.
- Promote the capabilities of the digital media department throughout the organization.
- Act as a point of escalation for the Paid Media Team, providing guidance to junior team members when necessary.
- Foster the growth of junior team members through delegation, training, and coaching.
- Assist in overseeing all digital staffing and resource requirements.
- Play a substantial role in managing department resources across accounts and from an overall revenue management perspective.
Strategy Implementation
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Paid Media to develop and execute paid strategies, as well as refine department processes.
- Execute and support the paid team on campaigns across various channels, such as the Google ad network, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and others (e-commerce & B2C), making daily adjustments as needed to ensure ROI meets goals.
- Support the team in analyzing performance data, providing intelligent analysis, interpretation, and action plans based on data-driven conclusions.
- Determine client benchmarking strategies and implement optimizations to achieve client KPIs in the shortest possible time through owned channels.
- Design and implement strategies and execution channels for Modifly clients to meet or exceed all client goals.
- Develop thought leadership on the creative implementation and effectiveness of creative and media strategies on paid platforms.
- Stay updated and research industry changes, such as IOS 14, to ensure adherence to best practices and set up Modifly for success.
Client Side Management
- Advise on and monitor client budgets, supporting and enabling the Paid Media team to effectively manage their accounts.Generate new business by identifying service expansion opportunities, conducting strategic audits, and developing a paid advertising pipeline.Collaborate with clients or the creative team to brainstorm new strategic avenues.Assist in building strong agency-client relationships and trust.Play an active role in pitching to new and existing clients.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Paid Search and Paid Social.
- 5+ years of management and team development experience.
- 5+ years of Direct to Consumer Advertising experience.
- Experience in managing teams managing complex, multi-platform digital marketing strategies for multiple clients.
- Demonstrable ability to operate under tight deadlines and manage complex multi-platform media strategies.
- Ability to identify opportunities through paid data and analytics.
- Efficiently delegate work and coordinate the paid strategy team to achieve goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative, passionate, and committed to continuous learning.
- Effective presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills.
