Membership and Marketing Director Brief Job Description
Oak Hill Country Club has an opening for a Membership and Marketing Director. Primary Role: The Membership and Marketing Director generates marketing initiatives on behalf of Oak Hill Country Club and represents the Club in its relationships with numerous internal and external constituencies. Is a primary liaison between the Club, its membership, the community, and external public relations, and consistently provides communication both internal and external via digital, print, and social media presence.
Job Summary:
The Membership and Marketing Director requires a motivated, passionate, and detail-oriented individual who implements strategic initiatives designed to increase the sale and processing of memberships as well as creates concepts to retain existing Members in the Club in accordance with the Club’s goals, objectives, strategic plans, rules, and bylaws. The Director of Membership and Marketing maintains and fosters current business partnerships while actively seeking additional partnerships that add value and elevate the Club’s offerings and cohesively partners with General Manager, Club Directors, various Club Committees, Club Members, and other staff as assigned to assist with internal and external endeavors.
This individual must possess a positive attitude, be friendly, energetic, and be a lead-by-example team builder with a hands-on approach. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required. In conjunction with the food and beverage team, golf, and aquatics departments, this candidate will assist in coordinating all club events, including branding of materials, menu design, invitations, and all themed materials. The candidate must possess a sense of urgency in member service, a service mindset, and the ability to manage a multitude of tasks.
The club operates on a limited schedule from November through March and is open 5-7 days a week for dining and events from Memorial Day through Labor Day. This position reports to the General Manager. This is a salaried year-round position. The Club has approximately 400 members, a Donald Ross designed 18 holes golf course, a pool complex, and outdoor Har-Tru tennis facilities. Salary is commensurate with experience; available benefits include Medical and Dental Insurance, 401(K) Retirement Plan, Staff Meals, and Golf Privileges.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum three years of experience in private club membership, communications, and/or marketing
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar experience required
- Proficient with Adobe Product Suite
- Ability to establish relationships and maintain a positive rapport with colleagues, staff, and membership
- Posses Strong oral and written communication skills
- Calm and flexible approach to handling the pressure of ever-changing requests
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Meet strict deadlines and maintain a positive rapport with colleagues, staff, and membership
- Creative problem solver, resourceful, and a team player
