Its real-time scaling technology is used by brands and agencies to boost the results of digital ad campaigns. Meanwhile, broadcasters, publishers and online platforms use illuma to organise, classify and categorise their inventory for commercial activation. Example clients include: Heineken, P&G, Amazon, Paramount+, Coca-Cola, Boots, American Express, Microsoft, Sky, The Guardian, and others.

illuma was founded in 2014 by publishing experts and computer scientists from Imperial College, UCL and Cambridge University. The company is based in London with additional offices in New York.
Role Description
Reporting directly to the CEO, and in close collaboration with the Heads of Sales, Product, Client Services and Public Relations, the Marketing Director will be key in setting a marketing strategy that brings the illuma brand and message to life.
He or she should be a nimble and ambitious self-starter who is excited to be given the space to get creative in developing, testing and executing new initiatives – ensuring that the brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing experiences including: event sponsorships, client activations & owned events, partnership support, brand collateral and swag, sales materials, website, social media presence, etc.
As a growing start up, the Marketing Director will be critical in creating the multi-discipline Marketing muscle for the EMEA and US markets and deciding when, what and how we engage with relevant audiences.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Explore and execute new and innovative ways to engage with target audiences through the development of a GTM marketing strategy that drives forward illuma’s brand and business goals, in coordination and collaboration across the company (e.g. with Public Relations, Sales, Customer Success, Operations), with full responsibility of budget planning and management
- Ensure the brand experience is consistent across all disciplines: website, social, events, swag, sales materials, etc; evolve the brand’s look and feel as needed using external graphic designers.
- Collaborate with Sales and Public Relations to support partnership and company announcements with relevant materials and messaging across owned channels: website, social, newsletter, etc.
- Develop localised content intended to stimulate audience interest, drive engagement and consideration for illuma’s solutions including: pitch decks, case studies, infographics, and more, to be distributed across multiple sales and marketing channels
- Design and lead the development of demand generation strategies & sales enablement
- Take ownership of content strategy development and delivery of multi-channel communications across all media
Knowledge & Experience
- Self-motivated leader with experience working in high growth business environments relevant to advertising technology and digital advertising; able to think outside the box and collaborate in a multi-functional capacity
- Excellent writer and communicator who can adapt their written and verbal style to fit a variety of audiences and channels
- Experience in designing and executing events of all types and sizes: industry sponsorships, owned events, client activations, etc
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for branding & design
- Good working knowledge of office-based software including all Microsoft programmes, with previous knowledge of Salesforce (or equivalent CRM software) and Demand Generation systems (Mailchimp or similar) a plus
