Job description
Under the direct supervision of the President, the IT Director ensures the effective operations, availability and smooth functioning of all IT and digital systems in the Business Unit and airports, as well as their valuable evolution.
In coordination with the other departments, they define, deploys, and runs the IT infrastructure, Airport systems, Business Applications and end-user IT environment. They are responsible for overseeing the consistent performance and resilience of the IT equipment, appliances, and applications.
The IT Director is responsible for the following:
- Strategy:
- Promote communication and build strategic partnerships between IT and other departments.
- Partners with the business and other airport stakeholders to align IT planning and business strategy
- Be an advocate of digitalization and innovation and submit propositions to optimize the IT systems, digitalize business and operational processes and leverage digital innovation for the benefit of operations.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders: internal end-users, airports clients, suppliers, outside technical supports and Vinci Airports HQ IT.
- Prepares strategic planning for IT, including budgeting (Capex and Opex) and in consideration of business priorities.
- Develops services toward seamless Passenger Experience, and Operational excellence.
- Ensures the security of the IT assets and data.
- Seek out IT best practices, and promote their implementation
- IT Department Management:
- Leads, organizes, and manages the IT teams: organization, delegation of responsibility, coordination, reporting, training, annual evaluation, carrier management, change management.
- Sets the right Sourcing strategy. Negotiates, manages and monitors sub-contracting agreements and their implementation.
- Drives the relationship with IT contractors and service suppliers.
- Organizes internal audit, defines BCP, DRP and security incident response plan.
- Creates a culture of IT professionals focused on deep business alignment, accountability for outcomes, and continuous improvement.
- Mentors and monitors the IT team to enhance their strengths and minimize deficiencies.
- Operational Readiness / Cybersecurity / Resilience:
- Drives and applies with his team the technical means and organization to ensure the operational readiness of IT (availability, robustness, performance, safety, security).
- Defines the architecture of the applications, network, devices and software, including redundancies to guarantee a very high level of availability for critical systems.
- Defines and Implements IT Cyber security, risk management and Continuity of Service policies in liaison with VINCI Airports HQ CISO.
- Communicates regularly on this topic to the TBI US Operations ExCom and the employees.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems
- At least 10 years of IT professional experience
- Experience in managing an IT organization
- Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience both on applications and IT infrastructures (and be able to explain and demonstrate, that the essential functions of the job can be performed)
- Good experience in IT project management
- Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Knowledge and interest about Air Transport Industry (airport/airline) processes is a plus
- Open to learn about new technologies
