Job Summary

The Human Resources team at Comcast, is looking for a collaborative, innovative, results-driven HR Director for the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to expand their global HR experience. You will be joining a high-performing team of HR professionals striving to create an engaging, inclusive and dynamic work environment across our global organization. This role will be based in London and will report to the Cable HQ & Corporate HR team located in Philadelphia. In this role, you will provide HR business partner support and HR operational support for client groups across the UK and consult with other business groups in Comcast on HR related matters in the UK. Partnering with US Human Resources and legal colleagues across multiple business units, you will help drive HR projects and business transformation efforts that span employee engagement, performance management, talent development, talent acquisition and retention, compensation planning, and diversity, equality and inclusion efforts for the region.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing HR Business partner and HR operational support to our UK-based client groups and partnering with our Cable HQ and Corporate HR business partners. Also responsible for consultation for other functional employees sitting in the UK as needed
    • Manage all day-to-day HR responsibilities, including salary/bonus planning, talent reviews, staffing, on and off-boarding, and performance management for client group.
    • Partners with senior management to develop strategies and programs that align with business initiatives including workforce planning, pay-for-performance, talent management, talent acquisition and succession.
    • Manage workforce planning process working with internal client groups and internal talent acquisition team to identify effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain the right talent for the organization
    • Oversees the onboarding journey to promote positive employee experience and ensure compliance requirements are being met.
    • Leads Compensation initiatives in partnership with our Cable HQ & Corporate HR Partners and Compensation COE
    • Counsels management and employees on disciplinary actions and performance problems in partnership with our HR legal team
    • Optimize and streamline integration of UK and US based practices where applicable
    • Provides support, direction and coaching for training and development programs.
    • Oversees government, legal and regulatory requirements and/or complaints in various areas.
    • Partners with Technology partners to navigate employee technological and system needs.
    • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
    • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree
