David Harber Ltd are multi-award-winning, internationally renowned designers of luxurious, hand-crafted sculptures, whose works have graced some of the world’s most prestigious addresses – from British institutions such as Windsor Castle and Eton to destinations further afield in Asia, Australia, Europe, and the USA.
Every sculpture, sundial or water feature is crafted by hand on site in rural Oxfordshire. As a family-owned business, we are a small but established team, where every individual plays their part offering the very best service to its highly affluent audience of private customers, interior and garden designers, art consultants and property developers.
Your Remit:
As People Director, you will play a leading role in shaping our people agenda, particularly in relation to onboarding, employee engagement, wellbeing, learning and performance development. Reporting to the Managing Director and Founders, you will be a key member of the senior management team, you will identify opportunities to drive forward-thinking initiatives which will have a measurable positive impact in strengthening our company's values.
You will lead the delivery of top-quality employee experience throughout our employee’s lifecycle and continuously enhance our learning and performance development processes.
This role is crucial to the evolution of our Company in ensuring that our employee’s always remain central to how our business operates. We are therefore looking for an accomplished HR professional with a solid track record of driving and delivering progressive People initiatives as well as supporting senior leadership teams achieve organisational goals. It is a superb role for an individual with strong coaching skills and senior leadership experience.
This is a part-time position working at our premises.
About You:
+ Evidence of previous success improving and delivering employee engagement, wellbeing, learning and performance development initiatives.
+ Experience partnering with senior leadership teams in developing relationships with stakeholders.
+ Relevant HR degree, CIPD level 7 qualification or equivalent.
+ Supporting the leadership team in developing people capability.
+ Experience coaching, guiding, supporting, and developing direct reports.
+ Strong influencing and communication skills.
+ Confident at providing clear and balanced HR advice to colleagues.
+ Confidence to work in both a workshop and office environment.
+ Professional standard in the use of Microsoft Office.
+ Focused on coaching, mentoring, and enabling people to perform their best work.
+ Proactive, enthusiastic, and positive outlook.
+ A keen attention to detail.
+ Hands-on and comfortable working with limited supervision.
+ Working knowledge of UK and US labour laws (preferred).
+ Interest in health and wellness (a plus).
