The Director for the International Healthcare Global Deal Optimization Team (HC GDOT) is responsible for the strategic management of our International Healthcare GDOT operations. This position is responsible for ensuring our activities support bookings and revenue growth in our international markets. Our international GDOT team is comprised of solution architects, sales engineers and contract negotiators who are supporting all pre-sale activities and post contracting transition to the Customer Success Organization. This role provides both direct and indirect supervision, with a strong focus on talent development. The Director will oversee, implement and evaluate operational processes and procedures, working closely with other Healthcare GDOT leaders. This role works closely with leadership across the organization within Sales, Finance, Order Management, Technical Revenue Accounting, Product Management, Legal and the GM of our International Business Unit. This role reports into the VP of Healthcare GDOT.
Responsibilities:
  • Customer-focused mindset with focus on key healthcare initiatives, trends recognition and course correction
  • Ability to drive a culture of accountability, motivate and lead team to achieve greater outcomes
  • Talent hiring, training and development of leadership team and next level talent
  • Identify and drive key growth opportunities for the team – ensuring clear objectives, knowledge growth and performance expectations
  • Ensure team knowledge around key accountabilities within HC GDOT, including aggregating and summarizing current customer information, pricing and proposal development, drafting of new orders and statements of work, assisting in overall deal governance and support of specialized financial impact opportunities
  • Metrics driven – understand and track key metrics, seeking opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in other process improvement initiatives or new processes related to expansion of our healthcare business (solutions, markets, selling methodologies)
  • Contribute to organizational process improvement, including processes related to developing use cases and knowledge management
  • Development/Improvement/Feedback of key processes and tools, including the communication/training to staff, used within the team required to deliver outcomes
  • Partnering cross functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product Management and General Manager and other Leaders to align solutions and processes, including providing leadership as needed for process improvement initiatives
Required Skills:
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strategic aptitude – pivoting through a 360 view, able to develop and communicate strategic approach, including influencing others
  • Ability to manage a team of individuals – mentoring, motivating and developing
  • Ability to set measurable goals for the team related to key expected outcomes
  • Developed competencies with MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to deliver high quality work while at the same time meeting aggressive deadlines, working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment requiring a flexible work schedule (end of quarter, peak sales activity support needs)
  • Understanding of financial and contract elements for evaluation of internal and external metrics and negotiations
  • Excellent influential and interpersonal skills including the ability to work in a team, move projects forward individually and make suggestions for team improvement
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technology, Clinical Informatics, or a related field
  • Minimum years of work experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in Healthcare professional services, sales or customer support operations
  • 5+ years of previous leadership managing a team
  • 2+ years of previous financial or contractual experience
