When thinking about what drives you every day in your job, what keeps you motivated and passionate about your work what comes to mind? For 3000+ people at the CQC we end each day knowing that we have made a difference to the lives of those most in need in our communities.
We make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage care services to improve. We are looking for people who are caring, demonstrate integrity and work well as part of a team to join with us and share in this sense of achievement. If you would like to help us make a positive impact to health and social care within England, then read on.

Why this could be a great role for you….
Reporting to the Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care and Integrated Care System, you will be a sector lead working with each of our operations networks to support the development, understand and capability of care for those with learning disabilities and autism.

You will lead the Safeguarding and Closed Cultures practice across the organisation. The role provides a great opportunity to use your expert knowledge to improve the quality of care and develop how CQC can influence, support and generate improvement in the sector.

You’ll champion the role and have the opportunity to influence CQC’s regulation and operational policy, ensuring that the skills, competence and influence of the areas under the CQC’s regulatory duties are delivered through uncertain and changing contexts.

What you will bring…
You’re an accomplished and influential leader, a visionary in your field with the ability to drive and deliver through your team.
Alongside a real understanding of how to improve care for those with learning disabilities and autism, you’ll also have knowledge or understanding of how the CQC operates and the role of the organisation moving forward.

A skilled communicator; you will engage with staff, service users and stakeholders at every level, demonstrating a transparent approach and interpreting complex information. You will be motivated by our core purpose to make sure services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and we encourage care services to improve.

CQC is committed to promoting a fair and inclusive workplace where all our people can flourish and reach their full potential. We know diverse teams allow for a more creative and productive environment and therefore encourage applications from everyone regardless of: age, gender/sex, gender identity or expression, religion or belief, disability, ethnicity or sexual orientation.

For this role, we are particularly encouraging people from Black and Minority Ethnic communities and people with a disability to apply, who are currently under-represented at this level in the organisation.
