Group Finance Director / Group Head of Finance
Birmingham area
£80 - 100,000 + benefits
Our client is one if the UK's leading privately owned Tour Operators and Travel Providers, turnover £60m and growing. Due to its success and to contribute to future growth, the company is looking to recruit its first Group Finance Director / Group Head of Finance, as an addition to its Management team.
Working closely with the CEO and Operations Director and overseeing the Financial Controller and a finance team of 6-7, this role will be both hands-on and strategic including:
- Oversee the management accounting and budgetary processes
- Financial modelling, produce forecasts, investment appraisals and analyses
- Oversee working capital and cash flow of the business
- Research market changes to aid strategic financial decision making
- Contribute commercial decision making from margin and pricing analysis
- Advising on and implementing strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs
- Develop further analysis on each department, commissions, product split etc
- Prepare financial statements and business activity reports
- Manage the audit process and overseeing all tax affairs
- Liaising with the bank, ATOL, ABTA, IATA and other professional advisors
- Risk management and ensure all accounting activities comply with regulations.
A background in travel or hospitality will be useful but is not essential. This Finance Director role requires an ambitious commercial Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACMA, ACCA) with a proven relevant track record. You should have excellent communications and analytical skills, strong leadership qualities and the gravitas and business acumen to contribute to decision-making at the highest level as the company embarks on the next stage of its development.
