Barnsley Council are seeking an experienced individual to join the team as a Paralegal. The role is 37 hours, Fixed Term for 12 months. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £27,344 - £30,151 per annum.

The legal team supports key functions, such as child protection and we are looking for an enthusiastic and able person to join our busy team who provide ongoing support to Children’s Services. The work primarily involves drafting applications, dealing with orders following hearings and responding to queries from parties involved in proceedings, and would be a great first step in your legal career.

No previous experience necessary but a knowledge of and interest in childcare proceedings would be an advantage. Further opportunities to develop may be available to the right candidate.

We are looking for someone with an interest in Family Law, who can offer ongoing support to the Senior Legal Officers in the team in this challenging and growing area of the law. An interest in working within a legal team in local government would be a benefit.
