About the Position
Market My Market is looking for an experienced and inspiring Director of Digital Marketing Account Management to support the Account Management team of a rapidly growing digital marketing agency. The right person for this role will demonstrate a passion for exceptional customer service, strong project management skills and a passion for team leadership. The Director will report to the Vice President of Account Management and serve as the team lead for a team of Senior Account Managers, Account Managers, and Account Coordinators and work closely with the Vice President of Account Management, the CEO, and serve on the Market My Market Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
Client Success
- Serves as lead Account Manager on a limited number of high profile accounts. The Director’s client load will be reduced compared to other client-facing roles in order to facilitate internal Account Management Team management
- Provides counsel and action plans for Account Managers when accounts are high risk
- Leads development of projects to ensure ongoing quality client experience
- Finds and promotes opportunities for upsells and scope increases for own clients and entire team
- Assists in marketing strategy development across all accounts
- Monitors industry trends / attend workshops or conferences with an aim of fueling strategy development through thought leadership
- Delivers exceptional customer service
Leadership & Management
Leads team of Senior Account Managers, Account Managers and Account Coordinators (approximately 6 direct reports) and works in close partnership with Vice President of Account Management to help increase upsell revenue, manage client retention, and execute departmental vision- Weekly check-in, Quarterly Conversations and Annual Reviews with direct reports to measure growth, workload, adherence to KPIs, client upsell opportunities and professional development
- Works in close partnership with cross-functional teams for client success: Sales, SEO, Content and Leadership
- Leads Weekly Account Management Team Meetings
- Manages and assigns out new signed contracts to Account Managers
- Serves as a representative of Account Management Team on Leadership Team along with Vice President of Account Management
- Assists the development and implementation of best practices & standard operating procedures for the Account Management team

- Set clear goals that are achievable and roll up to the organizational goals, and keep the team on track to achieve them. This includes goals that: position the organization to be leaders in Digital Marketing by staying abreast of industry changes, identifying key insights from client successes, and ensuring that the Account Management Team is able to apply these learnings
- Work closely in the development of products and services and help drive the product roadmap alongside the Account Management and other teams
- Work with the leadership team to improve processes for accounts and outcomes for clients and overall success and growth of Market My Market
Qualities the ideal candidate will possess in this position are:
- At least 5 years of experience in Account Management in Digital Marketing in an agency
- Experience managing a team of Account Managers in an agency setting
- A highly collaborative, team-oriented individual
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Attention to detail
- Able to follow established processes and procedures
- Able to adapt to change and be outspoken about what could make internal processes better and marketing approaches for clientele better
- Ability to be client-facing and handle tough conversations
- Overall proactiveness with having a positive impact on anything that they’re working on
- Confident, goal-oriented
- Great verbal and written communication
- 4 year Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with Asana, Slack, Hubspot, G-suite preferred
Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000 annually, commensurate with experience with opportunities for performance bonuses, client referral bonuses, and upsell commissions
