To deliver on our ambitions we have created a Digital Accelerator team, bringing together experts who have the overarching ambitions to develop data, design and digital capabilities, mindset and experiences across GSK. The Director, Digital Accelerator role offers specialism in digital design capabilities in service of our priority business problems that require creative problem solving and solutions at pace with human-centric design principles at the heart. The role holder sites alongside other digital leaders with specialism spanning early talent, employee experience, digital literacy and digital mastery to partner and deliver impact to GSK’s digital ambtions
As Director, Design Accelerator, you will be responsible for building and evolving integrated design as both a discipline and a capability on a global scale to help GSK get ahead of disease by helping our employees. You will partner with the Digital Accelerator leads to build this new team and test the value of bringing design thinking to our most important problems - which if successful will become a core capability at GSK.

- Passionate about creating experiences that fuse physical and digital through research, analytics, design and delivery
Your responsibilities:
- Own the craft and capability output across key projects, ensuring each project deliverable is of the highest quality resulting in tangible impact
- Provide directional oversight of individual project team's work and assume overall accountability for it
- Lead strategy and design activities including workshops, stakeholder interviews, creative brainstorms, visioning, and KPI development
- Deliver Design thnking to GSK as part of building our Digital Capability enterprise-wide programme
- Provide direct uplift interventions in areas of prioritised need inlcuding Global Function teams to upskill with digital mindset and design ways of working

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

Significant experience of design experience with evidence of:
- Service & Interaction Design across varied users, business problems, and devices
- Planning, designing, facilitating, and synthesizing workshops£
- Driving and applying user-centered design processes
- Creating experience maps, user journeys and service blueprints, interaction models, flows, and wireframes
- Rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototypes
- Requirements gathering and communication between all design teams, workstreams and clients
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading a design team, or experience as a senior member in a highly functioning design team
- Ability to attract and retain design talent
- Strong stakeholder management in complex organisations
- Knowledge of and experience with applying user-centered design processes
- Understanding of areas of specialisation within the greater design landscape, including but not limited to Design Research, Visual Design, and Content Design
- Ability to create informative and actionable experience maps, user journeys and service blueprints, interaction models, flows, and wireframes
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototypes
