Purpose of the job
The purpose of this role is twofold, firstly leading the team to creation and execution of product strategy and growth across the globe both on a regional and global markets. Secondly leading a team of technical program managers to support the delivery of the organisation. You will be focused on long term strategy development by with a fine line to short term priorities as well as well as the enablement of delivering on product roadmaps.
Product Strategy and Portfolio Management
- Define our overall product vision, strategy, and business model canvas, including product and proposition segmentation opportunities
- Creating industry insights from technology, customer, and industry trends to guide longer term strategy.
- Ensure the overall delivery Portfolio is driving the required customer value and value to Collinson, supporting in the overall assessment and prioritisation of funding on a periodical basis
- Create battle cards across the industry to highlight opportunities of delivery
- Own the Business Outcome: make strategic changes to the business roadmap or process to maximize both team and company outcomes
- Lead product portfolio strategic planning and management
- Contribute to defining strategy at the company level and incorporate these strategies to counter and mitigate risks and threats
- Responsible for measuring and checking product stream outcomes to identify the success of your area, and value for the business entirely
- Own the product portfolio roadmap, describe, and set expectations for planning outcomes.
- Establish and maintain a narrative: defining the teams focus, why this focus is important and what outcomes it will deliver
- Critically assess and enhance the efficacy of a specification process of product teams.
- Creating consistent Product GTM strategies that drives product adoption as well as creating product capability definitions to support wider organisation
- Lead and monitor the alignment between teams on features delivery.
- Make trade-off decisions between projects or investment areas to maximize value delivered, based on the capacity and skillset of product teams.
- Identify new opportunities, promote, and align roadmap direction.
- Ensure the specific needs and competencies of your team to assure maximum efficiency of product delivery.
- Create and embed a ‘quality-first’ culture ensuring your team consistently delivers high-quality products.
- Use data and market trends to identify opportunities for investment, then use this data to strengthen your business case
- Lead project teams in building their data fluency, helping them be more effective
- Identify market trends and consumer preferences to forecast popularity of products
- Review consumer feedback to understand how customers are using products and how they could be improved
- Build, develop, and nurture robust relationships with stakeholders across the company, in order to better inform and guide your product portfolio capabilities to meet market needs
- Inspire, lead, and mentor, high-performing product teams to continually facilitate
- Work with your team members to develop career development plans that balance the
- Collaborate in the development and execution of go-to-market plans, work proactively and across all stakeholders to anticipate required communication, involving them in key decisions
- Be a central source of information about delivery plans at a programme and portfolio level
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
- Thought leadership approach with a proven record of success directing efforts in corporate roles, helping companies define and evaluate product strategies and portfolios, reflecting market, competitive and other external drivers
- Experience using business intelligence and dashboards
- Deeply rooted in Agile and continuous delivery principles that maximize flow of value with a passion to extend this understanding throughout the organization
- Demonstrated success creating products vision, strategy, experience, solutions, and services - from ideation to launch
- Ability to translate data and trends into strategies and messaging
- Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team on customer-focused products and
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple demands and obtain buy-in from stakeholders
- Proven track record of working with senior client stakeholders and diverse teams as a
- Mastery in leading change and inspiring others
- Demonstratable drive to support colleagues and clients alike, with strong interpersonal skills
- A track record of developing and mentoring great talent, whilst building and leading high-performing product management teams
- Strong written and oral communication skills and a strong ability to facilitate discussions and deliver presentations
