REW is seeking a Director of Content who understands what it will take for REW to build the No.1 real estate media network in B.C.

We do this by building great, digital experiences to deliver useful content and connect homeseekers to the best industry partners to help them in their home search journey.

Our content network includes REW’s proprietary content stack ‘The Guide’ to offer an original and integrated real estate content experience that compliments the REW.ca home search platform.
It also includes a network of publishing platforms including; UrbanYVR (Developer Journal), Western Investor (Commercial real estate), Real Estate content on Glacier Media local news sites (VIA, North Shore News, Burnaby Now, BIV, etc.) and REW’s social media channels.
This content strategy forms the production and publishing arm of the REW Studio. The Studio is the voice of the REW brand, a way for REW to join the real estate conversation and guide homeseekers and build their confidence for their home search journey.

What success looks like.
Strong and growing engagement, measured as monthly readership, on real estate content across the REW network.
An established media presence for REW’s brand in the BC region.
What metrics matter.
Engagement metrics, most importantly page views on key publications.
Content metrics, most importantly content volume across the network.
Community metrics including newsletters subscribers and specific social followers.
Business metrics including revenues from brand partners, sponsored content and advertising.
Responsibilities.
Oversee the publishing platforms within the REW network including ‘The Guide’, UrbanYVR, newsletters, and real estate publishing streams for the local new sites.
Build a well-oiled editorial machine that can collect, produce and publish authentic, valuable and original content in partnership with the REW Studio and VP of Brand.
Research, develop and execute programmed Studio and Partner editorial content.
Grow and coordinate a network of contributors, journalists and collaborators.
Support Partner engagement as the editorial representative of the Studio.
Represent the Studio and the REW network in sponsored content projects with key partners with the ability to develop and creatively drive compelling Partner sponsored content.
Consult to internal stakeholders on how to deploy content to drive business goals including REW’s own customer marketing goals.
Communicate, connect and represent REW within the media community to amplify brand, content and product initiatives.
Qualifications.
Management and leadership experience is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience in scaling content collection and production services.
Excellent written and editorial skills.
Excellent verbal communication abilities and a proven track record of building effective media relationships.
Experience in high traffic industries where SEO and size of audience matters.
Applicable tertiary degree is preferable.
