We are looking for a creative and inspiring communications and engagement lead who will work closely with senior leaders to design, develop and implement a dynamic and engaging communications strategy for one of the world’s most respected brands. This strategic, resourceful and hand-on individual will provide oversight and leadership of our Global internal and external communications and drive engagement with veterinarians, consumers, communities and employees. As the global lead of Communications for Hill's, this role will also have an indirect, but important, connection with the Corporate Communication team of Hill’s parent company, Colgate-Palmolive.

What you will do

• Lead Hill’s global content strategy: develop, curate, and lead a global editorial calendar by driving internal and external initiatives, campaigns, and events to reach our key audience: current and prospective pet parents, veterinarians (the profession), retailers (B2B), vet students, influencers and shelters
• Translates business strategies into key messages, using the power of storytelling develops appropriate communications initiatives in support of those strategies
• Direct CSR/Sustainability internal and external communications programs to drive maximum impact, engagement and visibility
• Lead executive communications with senior management, including developing a thought leadership strategy (particularly on social media) and internal communications to cascade Hill’s business messages and embed Colgate Palmolive’s corporate-led initiatives and ideals, including leadership principles, values and other corporate programs
• Coordinate events and engaging communications while elevating our digital and social media communications
• Develop and supervise approvals for news (press) releases, talking points, visual media products, internal stories, organizational announcements, corporate videos and presentations, including proofreading, layout and design to drive maximum impact, engagement and visibility
• Coordinate and write responses to global media inquiries and developing and coordinating approvals
• Develop standards, processes and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies
• Work closely with Colgate-Palmolive Corporate Communications on issues management and crisis communications
• Support employer branding initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Preferably in Corporate Communication, Business Administration, Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing or relevant field. Master’s Degree preferred.
  At least 10 years of experience working with Corporate Communications, preferably for a large multinational organization.
  Exceptional verbal, written, presentation and editing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Animal health corridor experience
• Public Relations and Social Responsibility experience
• Strong project management experience and attention to detail

Salary Range $158,400 - $222,000 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance-baed bonus and competitive benefits package.
