Director PET Methodology
Position: Major Tasks:
- Be the key scientific and operational lead to define use of PET imaging
- Lead development and implementation of cutting-edge PET methodology and image analysis protocols and platforms for all clinical trials across Therapeutics areas (TAs) with a cross-functional team
- Provide PET specific inputs to develop imaging protocol, Imaging Manual, Charter, image evaluations, quality checks and appropriateness for a diverse therapeutic areas
- Lead the planning, preparation and management of blinded PET image reads
- Lead the expansion of current PET Analysis platform by adding new methodologies, analysis protocols as required
- Recruit and train PET Methodologists to support a growing portfolio
- Serve as contact person for PET image-related questions and advice. Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders to communicate PET imaging results and progress
- Lead and maintain an echo system of external PET tracer manufacturers, suppliers and PET centers globally with country specific regulatory intelligence
- Maintain productive and efficient interfaces with clinical/project teams and external suppliers
- Support the Head of General Clinical Imaging Services to set strategy and goals in line with corporate strategy
Position: Skills:
- Ph.D. in PET Image analysis and methodology development (Mathematics, Medical Physics, or equivalent) preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in PET imaging or radiopharmaceuticals development
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team in a clinical research setting
- Experience with regulatory compliance, including FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 5 years of experience in clinical development, preferably in studies with imaging
- Strong understanding of imaging trials, drug development processes and reporting
- Experience of developing and delivering presentations and publications in English with strong written and oral communication skills § Experience of working in a cross-functional team preferred
- Knowledge of target-setting and tracking in a work environment
- Experience of managing risk
- Proven record of relationship building, both internally and externally
- Proficient in developing and using PET Analysis Platforms § Ability to communicate externally with stakeholders to ensure Radiology R & D provides the positive impact to business
