Job Title: Director; Alternative Fuels and Hydrogen Solutions

Salary: From £95,000 (Depending on Experience)

Location : Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - Hybrid working arrangements available

Benefits: 25 days annual leave,

Up to 31% bonus

Car Allowance - £750pcm

Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%

Caterpillar’s Electrification & Advanced Power Solutions (E&APS) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

This leadership role has significant importance to support the divisional strategy relating to the development of alternative fuels (biofuels, renewables and eFuels) solutions for our broad range of customer applications.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify new opportunities for Caterpillar to deliver offerings in the alternative fuels value chain.

  • Create unique solutions for strategic customers across our broad range of industries.

  • Develop scalable solutions which can be leveraged across multiple customers.

  • Develop new business venture ideas and oversee deployment through our incubation teams and go-to-market channel partners.

  • Identify ecosystem partners to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal and external suppliers.

  • Create commercial structures to deliver positive economic outcomes for Caterpillar and our ecosystem partners.

  • Provide technical and commercial requirement for successful solution deployments.

  • Evaluate and manage participation in Hydrogen hubs or alternative fuel supply development.

  • Provide access to a broad network of external experts.

  • Report directly to the division’s head of strategy and business development

Skills and experiences that you will have:

  • This position requires a proven performance record in delivering results, working independently, influencing others (both internally and externally) and strong background in alternative fuels.

  • Top-quartile analytical and technical skills are required as is the ability to communicate complex technical issues to all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues and to communicate with internal and external senior management.

  • Demonstrated progressively responsible job-related experience is desired.

Exceptional candidates will have experience launching fueling solutions, overseeing deployment of fuel infrastructure, and working at an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm.

Additional Information:

  • This position is located in Peterborough, UK but has flexible hybrid work options

  • This position is likely to require up to 10% travel.
