Job description
Digital Workplace SharePoint Online Lead
The role
As part of our Digital Workplace team, this person will be the technical and strategic lead for the use of, and the roadmap for, the SharePoint Online platform and dependent applications in KPMG UK. They will also be the technical lead and key product development resource for Connect, our SharePoint Online-based intranet. The role can be based at any UK location.
Responsibilities
Technical product ownership
- Implement and apply platform and application standards and governance (collaborating with other technology teams) to ensure use of SPO is compliant with KPMG, client and regulators’ information protection requirements.
- SPO platform technical assurance, security and incident management (including the UK intranet).
- Develop and implement bespoke technical solutions and integrations (working with the M365 suite of tools, Power Platform, SharePoint migration tools, PowerShell, PnP PowerShell, Nintex workflows, JSON etc).
- Create and manage “app” or “component” store for all UK SharePoint solutions.
Business product ownership
- Maximise business value of the Global SPO platform for the UK firm.
- Manage UK roadmap for SharePoint Online and UK intranet, and dependencies for all other SPO-based products.
- Champion SharePoint as platform for business applications, support projects to advance SPO capability and explore new business use cases.
- Maintain high quality SPO user guidance and documentation and ensure high quality technical support for SPO and technical guidance for support teams.
Experience
- SME in SharePoint Online technical capabilities, and platform and application architecture, design and development
- SPO technical architect / experince as a SP architect
- SPO environment and site setup, configuration, management and development expertise
- Strong understanding of information protection and security concerns and considerations for UK and global regulated professional services business
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft roadmap and strategy for SharePoint and interdependent products (eg Teams, Power Platform etc.) and how SharePoint delivers value to businesses
- Experience with managing / delivering legacy SP platforms and migrations to SPO (to help business users who have migrated over from older sites)
- Experience of working in a global partnership with competing and overlapping requirements
- Knowledgeable in programming languages, experienced in writing and modifying code
- Experienced in providing SharePoint Online guidance and training to non-technical teams
