This apprenticeship consists of a 18-months, long opportunity to build on your organisational and communication skills and apply your ‘can-do’ attitude whilst working towards a Level 3 Digital Support Technician qualification.

  • This vacancy will be open to only Hammersmith & Fulham residents & care leavers initially.
  • Applicants must hold English and Maths GCSE A-C or 9-4, or work towards these qualifications alongside this apprenticeship course.
  • Have lived in the UK for the past 3 years (as part of the funding requirement).
  • Not currently qualified in Digital Technician Level 3 or above.
  • Currently not undertaking any other formal form of study (e.g., college or university course).

Role Responsibilities:

The Job - Working in Digital Services for the Council you will:

  • Undertake a development programme leading to a Level 3 Digital Support Technician qualification as part of an apprenticeship.
  • Learn and support the delivery of a high-quality user experience, including understanding fit for purpose systems, high standards of access, availability, usability, usefulness, and excellent standards of service.
  • Learn how to assist colleagues to maximise the effective use and adoption of the Microsoft Office 365 applications suite and the digital office technologies, productivity software and digital communications solutions it offers.
  • Actively participate in your own development plan under the supervision of your line manager and the training provider.
  • Develop professional relationships with your own team and with others who we work alongside and provide services to.
  • Build on your existing communication skills, gain invaluable experience, and build your self-confidence through your day-to-day workplace activities.


Training and Development – Within your role you will:

  • Complete a course funded by the Council. This will involve attendance at a college and/or completing tasks in the workplace (depending on specific course requirements).
  • Join a personal and professional development programme that will involve a series of varied development activities and events throughout your time with the Council.
