The Digital Productivity Engineer Graduate will be responsible to deliver efficiency and clarity through digital technologies to ensure that Congleton's Manufacturing Strategy is at the forefront of innovation. Research and experimentation is also key to assessing new technologies that could offer opportunities for future Efficiency.

Using Lean methodology and Digital Tools to support projects; with a multi-functional team to deliver a solution, ensuring targets and delivery dates are met. Additional responsibilities will be required to support with Lean Operations such as facilitating Lean Cell Design Workshops, knowledge of MTM and EAWS and supporting Productivity initiatives in Congleton.

  • To find opportunities for improvement in quality, cost and delivery by the design, development and implementation of digital technologies.
  • Build Simulations of manufacturing and logistics systems to analyse flow of materials within production line, areas and workstations that will highlight areas where efficiency could be increased.
  • Use Simulation to support production planning where vital to provide clear capacity constraints for production areas.
  • Develop metrics to allow the comparison of predicted performance against projected customer volumes, to ensure Congleton’s manufacturing system has the capability to deliver.
  • Advising the production team on suggested ways of working to achieve critical metrics whilst working safely and efficient manner.

The Candidate

We are looking for innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following:

  • Achieved or be on track to achieve a good grade in an Engineering or IT/Technology related degree
  • We are looking for innovative and inquisitive candidates with a Strong technical curiosity
  • Knowledge of our automation, digitalisation and engineering technologies would be an advantage
  • You think logically, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
  • You can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
  • You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
