We are a vibrant, spirited, multi functional and matrixed team of Product Specialists, Designers, Engineers and Analysts working collaboratively to deliver ambitious Omnichannel plans
What will you be doing?
There are two opportunities open in the Web Front end team:
Web Architecture & Design System (Permanent):
A chance to take our micro-front-end framework to the next stage. You will be responsible for building a new platform to allow us to test, iterate and personalise at greater speed. Stakeholder communication will be critical as you harness our Design System to improve visual consistency and enable us to innovate where it matters
You will work closely with multiple stakeholders and product teams to deliver and continue to develop the design system from an omni channel perspective. You will be part of a team responsible for helping to define the standards, guiding the usage of the design system components and the strategy for their implementation and evolution. This is a pivotal role, working as part of a cross functional team facing into multiple product teams responsible for driving the customer outcomes & helping evolve the John Lewis brand
Web Fundamentals (Temporary Contract):
You will work closely with multiple stakeholders and product teams to deliver and continue to develop the website interfaces for search and navigation. This is a pivotal role, working as part of a cross functional team facing into multiple product teams responsible for driving the customer outcomes & the critical services that make JohnLewis.com so successful
What you'll have: (Essential Skills)
Demonstrated ability in Product Management.
Experience leading others within a Product team using an Agile development methodology (such as SCRUM or Kanban).
Comprehensive understanding of the market landscape, both through a technology and a competitor lens. Experience leading cross-functional teams with focus on commerciality of your product.
Able to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions.
Proven ability to respond to and prioritise changing demands effectively.
Ability to balance multiple priorities, stakeholders and timelines.
Experience delivering via other teams through considered stakeholder management and influencing (inside and outside of your directorate)
Strong focus on User Experience, how devices (mobile / desktop/voice) are used in different contexts and the unique capabilities of applications compared to other platforms.
Developing your Product Owners to have a commercial mindset whilst focusing on solving customer problems.
Stakeholder Management is key to these roles.
Clear outcome driven Product Roadmap, not only to maximise the ROI of your own team but ensure you do not impede those teams depending on you.
What else could you bring? (desirable Skills)
Experience of defining and delivering Minimum Viable Products, running A/B tests and making data oriented decisions.
