This Designer will play a vital role in the design, development and performance of the Virgin Atlantic portfolio of digital products.
As part of a multi-disciplined design team, you will touch each stage of the digital design process. Concepting, researching, prototyping, testing and finally delivering high-fidelity visual designs, whilst working closely with our in-house Digital Development & Delivery team on the implementation.
Day to day
Some of the key responsibilities of our Digital Product Designer will be:
- Act as a champion of both the brand and the user, working to an overall annual product vision. Including inputting to the business’s long-term vision for the digital experience – and quarterly planning cycles of agile delivery.
- Team up with both product and creative designers in the broader Creative team, to jointly share learning, push standards and seek innovation. Ensuring the brand identity is flawlessly implemented, and user experiences are seamless from touchpoint to touchpoint.
- Deliver our digital roadmap through design strategy and execution, working to shared goals within a matrixed approach with the team
- Help the business crack new problems, following standard processes in design thinking to create innovative solutions to user needs
- Design interactions that put usability first, to create frictionless, pleasurable and unique experiences
About you
This is an incredible opportunity to design for our highly loved and exciting brand!
Do you love designing a product from end to end?

In addition to the above, we’d love for our successful candidate to demonstrate the following:
- Experience of designing and delivering high-quality digital experiences, ideally in an agile environment.
- Experience across the spectrum of product design, including running and interpreting user research, prototyping and testing solutions, designing interfaces, and delivering high-fidelity visual designs for development.
- Good commercial sense, with an ability to understand and balance business, design and user needs, and to ensure that design solutions have a measurable benefit to the business
- Evidence of leading best in class brand standards and being able to both implement, and enhance, digital style guides for a seamless brand experience across touchpoints
- Excellent design and prototyping skills in Figma are a must
- Concrete understanding of Design Systems and Pattern Libraries – experience in Storybook a bonus
- Front-end web development skills are beneficial but not essential
- Excellent communication skills, including experience of influencing and persuading others
- Experience of working in a team, supporting others and working flexibly
If this sounds like you, and you would like to unlock your potential with us, we would love to hear from you!
