A new and exciting position has recently arisen to help us achieve this vision, working within the Business Development team at Cardiff Met Sport. We are looking for a Digital Medi Intern to support the Cardiff Met Cymru Premier and Adran Premier football club’s.
As a Digital Media Intern with Cardiff Met FC and Cardiff Met WFC, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in the world of social media within the football industry. You will work closely with the club as well as our events and marketing team to create engaging content, drive engagement online via our social media channels and support the events team with admin related tasks. This role presents a valuable opportunity for someone looking to use and develop their social media and marketing skills, whilst contributing to the growth of Cardiff Met’s men’s and women’s National League teams.
The Digital Media Intern (Football) is responsible for assisting the Digital Media and Marketing Officer in the production of digital content and management of social media platforms to increase engagement for the Cardiff Met Sport social media channels. The role is focused on supporting the men’s Cymru Premier and women’s Adran Premier teams.
We are looking for driven, creative and talented individuals who are keen to learn and expand their portfolio, while gaining valuable experience in the football industry.
They would likely be studying towards a relevant postgraduate degree in order to enhance their future prospects.
You will have a chance to produce work for Cymru Premier and Adran Premier football club’s and showcase your abilities to an avid audience.
This will be a busy role and represents a really good chance to learn and make your mark in a fast-paced and ambitious organisation.
What you’ll do – key duties
- Assisting the Digital Media and Marketing Officer on managing the social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, FanBase and YouTube) for the team’s and assisting with the distribution of digital content across all social platforms.
- Liaise with key stakeholders in the football programme to develop content and understand demands, including Performance Directors, Met FC, Met Sport, Broadcast.
- Work with the Met FC Programme Editor to generate content.
- Act as a media officer for the teams.
- Graphic design for the National League team’s social media platforms, including match day graphics, fixtures, events etc
- Organise, distribution & management of media across all media platforms
- Building on the existing community engagement and nurturing a sense of belonging amongst the membership
- Assist the men’s and women’s teams in developing their own social media platforms, whilst following brand guidelines and templates to create a more uniform appearance across the team’s.
- Analyse social media analytics and statistics to inform improvements
- Assist in managing and developing the social media schedule.
- Organise and post media of various formats and distribute across all platforms
- Film and edit videos for use on Cardiff Met FC/WFC social media channels.
- Ensuring uniform tone of voice and content for all communications.
- Monitor and reply to inbound messages on social media.
