WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

CSM seeks a candidate with a ‘digital first’ mindset when analysing the events industry. We run market-leading business exhibitions in the learning, healthcare, technology and veterinary sectors. These events span Europe, Asia and the US, and we need your expertise to allow us to engage with our audiences throughout the year leading up to the physical events.

In this role, you will work closely with our Digital Department Lead and their team to ensure that we are using sophisticated systems, processes and digital strategies that are available to us. You will be analysing the various digital marketing channels available to successfully deliver audiences to our shows along with upskilling our marketing & digital team with their day-to-day talents. Creating and connecting journeys which are not only reflective of industry-leading brands but give new opportunities to drive incremental value

THE ROLE:

  • Identify new strategies to promote brand awareness, encourage audience and community growth
  • Coordinate activity to drive traffic, and generate leads and revenue from various online channels, including email marketing, SEO, Paid Search and Paid Social activities, and partnerships.
  • Ensuring the marketing team implement the digital strategies/plans you have composed. Alongside this, you will train teams on how to implement digital marketing campaigns and create best practices to be distributed across portfolios
  • Customer user journey testing to identify new ways to improve functionality and revenue and registration opportunities
  • Support the content and conference teams through keyword research, target audience insight, market research, etc
  • Collaborating with the marketing team, you will help forecast marketing campaign growth and ROI for marketing campaigns. You will also collaborate with the centralised data team on technical elements of the role
  • Act as the project lead for digital activity, working collaboratively with peers to meet deadlines and budgetary requirements. Marketing teams will implement campaigns, and you will be responsible for feedback and optimisation
  • Line management of direct reports; holding regular 121s providing support and direction, setting and managing KPI and ensuring these are met with the support of the department lead

ABOUT YOU:

  • Experience delivering paid & organic digital campaigns
  • Experience managing junior members of a marketing or digital department
  • Able to oversee and manage budgets of £200k+
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working within fast-paced environments
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation, and negotiation skills
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Experience managing budgets with strong numeracy skills
  • Proactive and able to utilise initiative
  • Experience effectively managing internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Strong IT skills and systems management (e.g. CRM systems, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel)
  • A good level of exposure to the digital systems we use (Google platform, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Facebook, email platforms such as Dotdigital)
