Introduction:
Wendy Morrison is an established designer of hand-made rugs and interior products. Her rugs are hand crafted in India and Nepal by highly skilled artisans and sold throughout the world. Wendy's signature style fuses influence from her background in fashion design with her love of exotic plants and animals. The business has considerable plans for growth and we are now looking for a talented and experienced Digital Marketing Manager to join us on the journey.
The Role:
The position will take responsibility for all WMD digital assets and initiatives. A key aspect of the role is to manage distribution of WMD content through key digital channels, maximising spend, ROI, and growing revenue whilst working to brand guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive and other duties and responsibilities may be included):
· Understand the key narratives for the WMD brand and products
· Collaborate with the wider commercial team to devise and implement an omnichannel marketing strategy
· Support the delivery of a social media strategy designed to share our narrative with target audiences across core channels including Instagram, Pinterest, Tik Tok, Youtube, our website, and other appropriate platforms
· Devise and implement a content distribution strategy across digital channels to support the implementation of our content marketing planner
· Format content created by the wider marketing team so it is suitable for distribution across all appropriate digital channels, working across a range of formats including copy, video, audio and photography.
· Keep up to date with WMD market and product positioning, social media trends and innovations, actively seeking out knowledge sharing opportunities, feeding insights back to the team and advising on inspiration for new approaches.
· Devise, implement and manage a performance marketing strategy to facilitate paid distribution of our content, creating conversion led ads that maximise ROI
· Use analytical tools to continuously monitor and improve our digital content marketing strategy, driving ROI and revenue growth
· Implement management reporting as required
· Monitor and respond to social media interaction across all digital channels
· Manage content updates to the WMD website (UI via CMS and product data via Shopify)
· Work with 3rd party partners to manage website updates designed to improve lead conversion and useability
· Establish and maintain data flows between digital assets, e.g. product data from Shopify to Pinterest catalogue
· Maximise commercial opportunities across all digital channels including our website, Instagram, Pinterest, Tik Tok, Youtube, etc
· Continuously monitor and improve website useability and conversion statistics
· Continuously review our digital solution for effectiveness and ROI and adapt where necessary.
· Report and continuously improve on agreed Digital Marketing KPIs
Requirements:
Skills Required (Technical)
- Product led digital marketing experience - ideally in an industry such as clothing, furniture, or similar
- Clear understanding of performance marketing techniques with demonstrable experience building and managing successful ads (i.e. Meta, PPC & other, e.g. Pinterest)
- Demonstrable experience of managing change through Content Management Systems. Ideally, exposure to Shopify or similar E-commerce platforms
- Demonstrable experience using digital marketing techniques to build an online brand working collaboratively as part of a wider marketing & commercial team
- Ability to lead the digital marketing function, work on their own initiative and guide management & marketing teams
- Demonstrable experience of implementing digital marketing campaigns from briefing to inception and launch
- Ideally 5-10 years experience in similar companies
- Must be data driven in approach and able to present & articulate to the business on key data backed decisions

Terms & Conditions
· This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week
· The option to either work a studio-based role in Edinburgh with flexibility to work from home 2-3 days perweek, or to fully work from home
· Occasional travel to support business needs
