POSITION SCOPE & STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES


The role of the Digital Manager will be to work closely with the UK Brand Director to optimize and develop our digital footprint and effectiveness, to drive measurable commercial value of the UK market’s brands; Lyle’s Golden Syrup, Tate & Lyle Sugars and the digital property We Love Baking. The role will contribute to the development of digital strategy, have ownership over brand digital channels and direct the management and execution of brand websites and content curation across social channels.


DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop, implement and manage plans to increase the growth and engagement of social media channels and traffic to owned channels.
  • Liaise with Brand Director (& reports) and rostered agencies for the integration, enhancement and delivery of brand campaigns into owned channels and with an overall alignment of brand messaging and tone of voice.
  • Manage the relationship and assist in the development of strategic paid media amplification programs and SEO as well as campaign optimisation with Paid Media Agency.
  • Manage the relationship, brand creative integration and content creation with the brands Social agency.
  • Own all content, updates and the continuous optimization of brand websites.
  • Performance monitoring and analysis of Social Media Channels, Websites and competitive set. Manage KPIs, measure ROI and propose short vs. long-term actions.
  • Develop/improve existing analytics reporting and establish effective communication with key stakeholders across the business, coordinating training and support as needed.
  • Engage in social listening to monitor, identify trends and report to brand manager
  • Keep up to date with the latest industry news and opportunities to benefit overall brand development.
  • Input to annual budgeting process (from annual plan) and budget management for assigned tasks.
  • Work closely with the Brand, Category Management, Trade and Sales teams to identify new opportunities.
  • Link up with Trade Marketing on retailer digital activities
  • Act as key Digital Marketing representative of UK Marketing for w.ider digital/website projects.


ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)


  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in the digital space with demonstrable experience in delivering a variety of digital campaigns and contributing to the development of effective digital marketing strategies.
  • Excellent knowledge of SEO, PPC and other paid media channels - ability to work with agencies to drive channel growth and hit conversion targets
  • Strong analytical capability with experience in Google Analytics and understanding of GA4 , A/B testing methodologies and the ability to translate insights into workable plans
  • A track record of executing effective, revenue driving campaigns would be beneficial.
  • Be comfortable working with and managing digital agencies and other marketing and sales agencies.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat and other emerging platforms).
  • Ability to establish yourself as our Digital Marketing Expert, work collaboratively with the broader Marketing/Sales/Trade Marketing teams.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure of tight deadlines.
  • Problem Solving – ability to overcome obstacles and find solutions to broadly set objectives, sometimes while working independently.
  • Excellent communicator, with strong presentation skills, able to adapt to different audiences
  • Driven and self-motivated, able to deal with many competing priorities in a fast-paced workspace
  • Project Management skills – ability on planning and prioritisation.
  • Energy & Initiative – setting about tasks with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.


ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES


  • Strong work experience in digital and community management.
  • Evidence of interest in consumer goods / food industry.


ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


  • Degree-level educated or equivilent
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
