Overview
The role will support the Senior Digital Acquisition Manager to develop and execute the digital acquisition performance marketing programme to drive profitable sales to our pubs.
Your implementation of the strategy will be aligned with company goals and industry best practices to drive profitable business performance and a best-in-class customer experience.
This highly cross-functional role is a unique opportunity to deliver value using a breadth of competencies, including strategic thinking; operational execution; data-driven testing and analysis; program management; marketing and communication planning; cross-channel merchandising; and vendor and stakeholder management.
- Implementation of the performance marketing strategy, working closely with the performance marketing agency and Senior Digital Acquisition & Performance Manager to deliver profitable campaigns which drive measurable KPI’s including online bookings, pub visits, database sign ups, hotel room bookings, gift card sales etc.
- Support communications between the agency and Marston’s stakeholders to ensure the agency has the data they need to inform campaign design, creation, optimisation and measurement.
- Regular review of campaign reporting and onward communication of progress to the wider business.
- Ensure you are informed of developments and opportunity in performance marketing channels.
- With agency support, keep abreast of competitor activity and strategy in this area to inform the Marston’s strategy to achieve increase market share.
- Design and implement test and learn activity to inform the performance marketing strategy and continually optimise activity.
- Collaborate with brand marketing teams to brief creative assets required and ensure continual optimisation of our creative approach using data to inform.
- Optimisation of the online gift card sales journey including pub website messaging, SEO, the Love My Locals website, social media messaging & brand development where appropriate.
- Administration of partnership activity to deliver incremental visits to Marston’s pubs.
- Regularly communicate KPI goal tracking and progress towards objectives.
- Leverage data and insights to advocate for optimal campaign design, marketing assets/messaging, merchandising/display strategy, product placement, and customer experience across channels and platforms.
- Collaborate across channels to develop and implement an ROI-driven gift card marketing/promotion strategy that supports peak gift card selling periods. Provide stakeholders with insights, forecasting, analysis of results, and recommendations for future activities.
- Act as the primary escalation point and contact for the Marston’s gift card program and its products during rollouts and for day-to-day operations.
- Strategic experience in a fast-paced environment with a competence and confidence in complex matrix organisations.
- Proficient in relationship building and account handling.
- 3+ years’ experience working with digital acquisition channels including paid search, SEO, paid social and digital display.
- Experience in retail, consumer products or services, e-commerce, marketing, merchandising
- Experienced at managing agency and vendor relationships.
- Comfortably prioritise and manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
- Detail orientated.
- Excellent problem solver.
- Exceptional communication & collaborations skills
- Comfortable making the ambiguous clear.
- Unphased by new challenges and breaking new ground in media or partnership activity.
