About the Company & Job:
Diagonal Matrix, a boutique Financial Crime technology solutions consultancy, offers IT solutions to counter Financial Crime, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), Bribery, and corruption challenges in the Financial sector. The company developed an AI/ML-based financial fraud detection & monitoring platform, that is indented to change the way the financial industry operates today.
As a Digital Marketing associate, you'll spend 6 months in our competitive and immersive sales program, and gain hands-on experience. Don't worry, you'll have senior most mentors and a strategy team to support your learning (Indian Institute of Management - IIM), while working side by side with the co-founders and early employees of one of the fasting growing start-ups in the UK.
We are 100% Indian Institute Of Technology (IIT) backed-up firm, with 45 IIT students who developed a product to tackle financial crime and is scaling very fast, having increased our team size from 4 to 45 over the past 12 months, and launching in the US.
We’re looking for 10 interns to work remotely to join us on a 6 months internship (later permanent rolls) in a sales capacity, helping Diagonal Matrix to launch an entirely new software product into the UK/US financial market.
You need to be available from July 3rd - mid of December, although feel free to apply if you already have a holiday booked, we can be flexible!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Attend mentor sessions with industry leaders to become an expert in digital marketing and opportunity pipeline development.
- Get inspiration and guidance by working closely with our high-performing team and company founders.
- Develop marketing strategies and programs to promote products and services through digital channels.
- Implement and manage digital marketing programs and analyze their effectiveness.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns according to the overall marketing plan.
- Identify the target audience and deliver the right message to initiate conversations.
- Utilize search engine optimization techniques and manage social media and online communities.
- Engage in meetings with potential clients on a daily basis.
- Collaborate with the strategy team to execute campaigns and increase product awareness.
- Take on sales tasks, including lead research, analysis, and reporting.
- Support commercial and product development initiatives for effective go-to-market strategy.
- Utilize sales tech tools to prioritize outreach for sales teams.
- Research and analyze data sources to identify new companies and opportunities.
- Manage the entire marketing process, from planning to execution.
- Be creative in researching new ideas and collaborating with other teams.
- Manage social media campaigns, implement SEO best practices, and analyze data.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Enrolled Bachelor's or Master‘s student.
- A Management degree is a big plus.
- Extrovert, you don’t mind speaking to 10’s new potential clients per day on call, video, and in person
- Entrepreneurial, you will suggest product and process improvements to the wider team.
- Initial experience through at least one prior internship (or work experience) in a fast-paced environment is a big plus BUT not mandatory.
- Ability to research and analyze information
- High level of initiative and quality awareness, as well as a structured and independent way of thinking
- Interest in the financial markets and/or start-up sectors
- Be comfortable communicating with stakeholders in different positions
- Attention to detail and accuracy in creating and maintaining data in our CRM and other systems as needed
- Enjoy working in a team and possess native (or equivalent) communication skills in English
HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU:
We aim to keep the entire process under 2 weeks:
- A short video application, why you think you’ll be well suited to the role
- 30-45 min introductory call with the founder.
- Short case-study & role-play interview, mimicking the aspects of the job.
