Job brief
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to support our Sales and Marketing team at Servers.com.
The Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for creating a social media strategy that aligns, compliments, and enhances our core content strategy, ultimately resulting in positive ROI.
The Digital Marketing Executive will be required to support the Sales team with content for their individual professional social media accounts to drive growth and engagement.
As Digital Marketing Executive, the successful candidate will need to become our ambassador for social media – someone who will champion the use of social media, use internal communications to promote our core content, and positively encourage team members to engage with their audiences.
In addition to social media, this role will be largely involved in supporting the Marketing team with campaigns and projects. Assistance to maintain timelines, hit project deadlines and ensure key stakeholders are kept up-to-date will be a key area of responsibility.
Candidates must have a background in marketing of at least two years, with proven experience in both content creation and social media.
The art of repurposing content will be required to succeed in this role, so a creative and innovative approach is a must.
A B2B background is essential. Experience in the technology industry is preferable.
Responsibilities
· Develop the servers.com social media strategy, with a primary focus on LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.
· Collaborate with the Content team to create a social media calendar that compliments the content and advertising schedules.
· Work alongside the Content and Design teams to repurpose core content into social media content across a variety of mediums including: text, images, videos and audio.
· Monitor servers.com’s social media channels, engaging with responses appropriately, acting on behalf of servers.com.
· Make good use of scheduling tools to achieve a regular publication cadence.
· Provide social media support and advocacy to colleagues within the Sales and Marketing team.
· Work closely with the SEO Manager to monitor and report on social media-derived traffic.
· Provide regular reports to show social media performance against KPIs.
· Make good use of tools both in platform and separately to create reports and ensure that social media is performing optimally.
· Routine monitoring of news/industry markets to inform content and social media activity for the Sales and Marketing team.
· Support the Global Director of Marketing, Head of Marketing and Senior Content Writer with day-to-day execution of campaigns, projects and tasks both internally and externally.
· Work with external agencies to achieve project targets and KPIs.
The above list of duties is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the Marketing team.
Requirements/skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in B2B marketing. (Preferably within the technology industry.)
- Solid understanding and experience of using social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.
- Solid understanding and experience of using social media scheduling and analytical tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in and understanding of marketing trends and innovation.
- Proven ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to respond well under pressure.
