PEI are looking to complete our Digital Marketing Operations team with a methodical and commercially focused Digital Marketing Executive. This vital role supports our Marketing Operations team in optimising digital channels and marketing technology to acquire and retain revenue for a growing business information and events business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a desire to grow their career in digital marketing and develop their skillset using leading marketing tech including Marketo and Oktopost.
The Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for contributing to and executing the digital marketing strategy for the global events and event-based community membership products. You will work closely with the Subs and Events Digital Marketing Operations Managers.
Day to day, your role will look like this.
- Working with both the Subs and Event Digital Marketing Operations Managers to manage our Marketing Automation Platform, Marketo. You will have knowledge of the capabilities of a Marketing Automation Platform. Within Marketo you will build landing pages. You will help create and test automated email series to promote 16 editorial brands and our 50+ Events and memberships. You will learn Marketo Measure and ensure our team have access to real-time reporting with relevant dashboards and views.
- Support on SEO for our 18 sites, ensuring they are fully optimised for best practice SEO and reporting back to key stakeholders on success and recommendations for improvements.
- Developing your knowledge of PPC. Monitoring PPC campaigns to ensure key targets are met and reporting back to the Events marketing team on campaign performance, working closely with an external agency.
- Using your social media knowledge to help optimise our various social media channels.
- Reporting and analysis for marketing channels performance, including email, paid media, social media & organic search. Present back to key stakeholders making recommendations for improvements.
- Working with your colleagues in Digital Marketing Operations on UAT testing for new product launches and email flows.
- Maintaining a calendar of all Subs, Events and Membership marketing activity across the year.

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as Digital Marketing Executive or similar role
- Good understanding and interest in digital marketing concepts and best practices
- Experience with B2B social media, Google Adwords and email campaigns and SEO/SEM
- Good knowledge of web analytics tools
- BSc/BA in marketing or other relevant field

- The most important skills for this role are an excellent eye for detail. You will be able to clearly demonstrate a methodical mindset. This role will suit someone who enjoys ensuring processes and programmes are set up correctly.
- Has a proven interest in commercial results and marketing. A desire to learn and improve with a proven interest in digital marketing and marketing technology. You’ll want to know the difference between GA3 and GA4, you’ll understand why Google Tag Manager is important and be concerned about colleagues not completing UTM parameters correctly.
- Curious mindset, keen to learn and question/challenge.
- Analytical. Able to work with colleagues to set a hypothesis and then analyse the data to determine success/trends
- Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
