Role Summary
The Marketing Executive is a key member of the Channel Marketing team, contributing to all elements of the marketing mix and maintaining key relationships with internal clients and internal and external suppliers. The role will require the individual to take the initiative and manage projects on their own. Being a team-player is the key to success as the executive will work closely with both the Head of the EMEA Marketing team, and other marketing colleagues on a daily basis and interact with senior colleagues across the business.
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
Regulatory & business conduct
- Displaying exemplary conduct and living by our organisation’s Code of Conduct.

- Effectively and collaboratively identifying, escalating, mitigating and resolving risk, conduct and compliance.
Marketing activities
- Assisting marketing managers with the management of external suppliers – 3rd party events.
- Management and production of regular email marketing campaigns.
- Supplying advertorial and advertising copy to publications.
Co-ordinating and distributing marketing materials
- Coordinating the production and updates of marketing materials ensuring they adhere to the appropriate compliance and FCA regulatory guidelines.
- Managing Russell Investments branded goods, including ordering, storage and inventory.
- Ensuring all relevant collateral is saved in Seismic (Russell Investments’ global content management platform).
- With support of a Digital Strategist, coordinating updates to the monthly EMEA marketing (internal) round-up email.
- Providing support to the corporate communications team when sending updates to all associates in EMEA.
Website development
- Regular review of relevant websites and client microsites.
- Ensuring collateral/information on relevant sites is up to date.
Campaign management
- Managing the webcast process from scheduling/booking/ managing key stakeholders to follow up
- Helping design and run online campaigns, e.g. via Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Event management
- Assisting marketing managers with a wide range of events, from proprietary to 3rd party.
- Maintaining events planner and calendar using Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
- Updating CRM with events, attendees and process leads.
- Finding and negotiating rates and booking venues where necessary.
- Providing relevant information and forms, such as corporate profile, logos or risk-assessment forms.
- Organising stand requirements, e.g. brochures and stands, including shipping, set-up and dismantling.
- Working with marketing managers to deliver reports/ROI success metrics.
Financials
- Keeping the invoice tracker up to date.
- Reporting to the Line Manager on any anomalies/discrepancies.
- Processing invoices correctly and in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification / experience.
- Experience of working in Marketing within the Asset Management industry essential.
- French/Italian/Dutch language skills preferred.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Excellent client service and communication skills (oral and written).
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Autonomous and proactive approach to tasks.
- Exposure of marketing to Pan-European clients.
