About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales & Marketing Executive to join our team at Redcar Racecourse, proactively driving sales and promotion of race meetings and the racecourse.
About Redcar Racecourse
Redcar Racecourse stages 18 days of horseracing from April to November, plus a range of other activities throughout the year.
This is an exciting and varied full time role and the key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing effective sales and marketing campaigns to maximise race day attendances, whilst working to agreed budgets;
- Maximising the sales of admission tickets, hospitality bookings, race sponsorship, and other events;
- Pro-actively managing Redcar Racecourse’s website and social media profiles, creating engaging content, both written and digital;
- Promoting and managing the Annual Badge scheme;
- Working closely with Redcar Racecourse’s catering and event management partners to deliver a seamless, high-quality customer experience;
- Hosting client site visits, and participating in meetings, exhibitions, and open days.
The successful candidate will most likely:
- Have a successful and proven track record in sales and marketing, with a good working knowledge and experience of digital and social media marketing;
- Be comfortable dealing with the public on a daily basis, both face to face and by telephone / email;
- Have good IT and planning skills;
- Have exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with strong attention to detail;
- Be a presentable, highly motivated, self-starter, who has an eye for detail and the flexibility to multitask within a small team;
- Have an interest in horse racing (although that is not essential).
This role is based at Redcar Racecourse, with working hours of 9am-5.00pm from Monday to Friday, plus racedays and additional hours as required.
