TravelGay.com is the world's most visited LGBTQ+ travel website. With millions of visitors to our website each year, we continue to grow fast and are looking for an ambitious Content and SEO Executive to join our team.
Based in Brighton, the role is ideal for someone who wants to excel, learn fast and challenge themselves to produce high quality content in a fast paced environment. A solid knowledge of SEO is desirable as well as a self driven and can-do attitude to drive forward the brand.
The other brands in our family include: Out Of Office, a leading luxury travel company and Gay and Lesbian Weddings – a new brand focused on the LGBTQ+ wedding market.
You will be primarily focused on the Travel Gay brand, proactively driving the content, SEO and social strategy. This will include ensuring the site is up-to date across the globe in terms of venue and event listings, working on and producingexcellent editorial and social media content for the brand and our partners, including tourist boards and working as part of the wider team on the company’s ambitious growth plans.
No two days will be the same and you will be able to develop your skillset across a wide range of editorial and SEO tasks.
There is an opportunity to grow with this role as our business develops over the coming months and years.
Key responsibilities:
- Being a brand champion and advocate at all times
- Writing editorial content for Travel Gay on a wide range of topics and global destinations
- Adding new content and auditing existing content and venue listings
- Writing weekly email newsletters
- Driving publicity for the brand, including backlinks from other key publications
- Moderating community content on the website

- Regularly posting across all our social channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
- Reporting KPIs to the management team and continually optimising activity
- Working within brand guidelines
- Driving and implementing SEO strategy
- Analysis of Google Analytics, Search Console, trends and website traffic,reporting this to the weekly management meeting
Requirements:
Skills and Attributes
- A self-starter with the good organisational skills and the ability to multitask
- An understanding of SEO best practice
- Experience using image and video editing tools
- Dynamic and personable, with excellent communication skills
- Flawless spelling and grammar
- Highly organised and great attention to detail
- A flexible approach to workload
- Results driven
- Proven ability to work under pressure
- A team player, with extensive knowledge of different countries and cultures as well as the desire to share this knowledge with other members of the team
