POSITION OVERVIEW
We introduced the first live-virus measles vaccine 60 years ago. We developed and distributed the first approved vaccine for Ebola, a rare, highly contagious, and often deadly disease with global epidemic potential. We licensed the first pneumococcal vaccine, the start of decades of significant contributions toward reducing the global burden of pneumococcal diseases. And our HPV vaccines have helped to protect against certain HPV-related diseases and cancers. What we do matters.
We are looking for a leading Digital Marketing Specialist, experienced in consumer engagement, to join our vaccines business to help us continue to be a pioneer in the fight against vaccine-preventable diseases. This role will be fundamental to drive digital growth and to implement content across all prioritized segments and personas in all selected digital (and offline) channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Marketing – Drive Omnichannel Strategy & Execution with a Focus on Consumer Engagement
- As part of the cross functional team, develop and iterate an omnichannel strategy that will drive desired behavioral change across priority segments. Aligned to the overall brand and global strategy.
- Lead on day-to-day planning, delivery, and optimisation of digital marketing campaigns to ensure seamless integration with broader omnichannel strategy, whilst adapting marketing messages and content that resonate with priority segments.
- Enhances our customer focus by better understanding the customer journey and customer preferences through data translation, resulting in tailored strategic execution and therefore higher consumer engagement.
- Work with in-house creative team and external agencies to create content and customer journeys to drive digital engagement, making agencies accountable and challenging the status quo.
- Clearly and simply communicates change, progress, and actions, inspiring and changing the mindsets of key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and stages of digital maturity.
Digital Analytics – Drive Consumer Engagement Data Analytics and Optimisation
- Provides cross functional team with timely and accurate business intelligence data and analysis, to support and improve the implementation of the digital/omnichannel strategy.
- Identify trends and develop recommendations for changes to investment & marketing strategies across the channels.
- Setting of OKRs, KPIs and campaign benchmarks. Embed results into day to day decision making.
- Identify the online behavior of customers and consumers through advanced website and data analytics to improve user experience in line with persona preferences.
- Ensure activity across marketing campaign funnels and customer behavior flows are tagged and tracked accurately for reporting and analysis, across multiple channels.
- Identify the most suitable digital marketing channel(s) to deliver the best possible ROI.
- Plan, implement and report on A/B testing to improve acquisition and conversion.
Coaching & Mentoring – Raise bar of digital marketing, customer engagement and data across the organisation
- Liaise with peers and other departments to define and execute development and training plan to close key gaps.
- Directly coach and mentor fellow team members on digital marketing and analytics; proactively source and share internal and external training resources, learnings and examples of best practice.
- Remain up to date with all the latest trends / developments and emerging technologies; partner with Business Unit Leadership Team and other key internal stakeholders to evolve our people processes and tools to remain competitive.
- Model positive mindset and behavior for others, and serve as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Skills & Experience
Education and Experience Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a marketing, digital, business or science discipline. Lifestyle and nutrition background experience is beneficial.
- 5 years practical experience in digital marketing and consumer engagement.
Required Experience and Skills
- Experience in developing and executing successful and compliant omnichannel digital marketing strategies and consumer campaigns, including end to end customer journey
- Experience in optimising marketing budgets and maximising ROI
- Excellent communication skills, including written documentation and oral presentation - for effective collaboration with internal teams, external partners and end-users.
- Manage time effectively across projects and competing priorities, meet agreed upon deadlines, attention to detail, and be accountable for work.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- High numeracy, analytical, statistical and critical reasoning skills
- Experience using analytics, visualisation and enabling tools such as Google Analytics, Tealium IQ, Google Tag Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Search Console, Heatmapping, Google Optimise, Salesforce Cloud & Social Listening
- Strong business analytics, ability to identify business opportunities and needs, and write business, functional, and technical requirements
- Knowledge of social media advertising techniques, pay per click, programmatic, paid search, SEO, ad ops, tagging and retargeting
- Experience working within healthcare and/or a regulated environment is beneficial
