Receptionist
Dorset Studio School has a vacancy for a Receptionist at Dorset Studio School. Are you friendly, reliable, hardworking and willing to support parents, staff and pupils in our busy school office? An ability to multi task in this busy office environment is essential. You will need a good sense of humour and be a good team player.
Main Job Duties:
- Providing a friendly professions reception for all visits and members of our school community
- Answering general enquiries confidently on the phone and in person.
- Using IT systems, including SIMS, Parent pay and other software packages/
- General administrative support as directed by the School Business Manager
- Organising stationery and first aid stock controls
- Creating and distributing school communications to stakeholders including the School Newsletter, and messaging system
- Collating daily / weekly lunch orders
- Organising incoming and outgoing post
- Daily organisation of the school emails
The successful candidate will:
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact with a wide range of adults and children
- Have excellent administrative and organisational skills and be able to work under pressure
- Have an ability to prioritise, remain calm and is a team player
- Have experience in a school/education setting, Ideally =using SIMS and parent pay
- First aid trained or a willingness to train
- Be flexible and adaptable
- MS Office experience to type and create documents using excel and word

Keeping Children Safe in Education
Dorset studio school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children.
