Our client is looking to recruit an innovative Marketing Executive to join their hardworking team in Lewes, where you will be responsible for all racecourse website, marketing, social media, press and media activity. In this exciting new role you will have a leading role in the operational day to day activity of the Racecourse.
The ideal candidate should have great verbal and written communication skills, strong knowledge on marketing practices, and a love / knowledge, or willingness to learn about horses would be very desirable.’
Responsibilities
- Proactively engage with stakeholders from the Media in order to market and promote the racecourse for the core Racing product
- Proactively promote through marketing and PR activity non race day use of the racecourse and non-Racing activity such as but not limited to Conferences, Weddings, Banqueting events, filming, and use of vast external areas.
- Produce pre and post Raceday reports for release to the media, both locally and nationally through the correct channels
- Proof read and upload pre and post Raceday reports for the website in a timely manner
- Production and distribution of press releases to actively engage with stakeholders in the press and media to promote racecourse activity
- Establish, update, and maintain a comprehensive up to date data base and proactively promote the racecourse through emails and mailshot activity
- Manage Annual Advertising and Marketing Budgets (in consultation with the Head of Sales & Marketing) for all areas of the Racecourse
- Daily management of the Twitter, Facebook, TripAdvisor, and all other appropriate social media accounts, ensuring questions are responded to in a timely fashion and the racecourse is proactively engaged with the social media community
- Other general marketing & administrative / office support duties

Job Title: Marketing Executive
Location: Lewes
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Full Time: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (some weekend working on race weekends, approx. 6 a year)
