As Head of Digital Marketing at Big Green Coach, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's marketing strategy, enhancing its brand presence, and accelerating growth. We sell tens of thousands of coach seats and event tickets online every year via our website and trusted third party sellers. We're looking for the right candidate to develop our online presence, streamline our digital marketing efforts, maintain long-standing relationships with event organisers and promoters and create new opportunities.
Reporting directly to the Directors, this position requires an experienced, versatile and results-driven marketing professional who can effectively and efficiently manage a wide range of responsibilities. The role will be based in our HQ in Digbeth, Birmingham but we are flexible regarding homeworking.
We are seeking a dynamic and multi-skilled marketing professional to lead our team as the Head of Digital Marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of marketing, including website management, social media, content development, product launches, external communications, email marketing, marketing automation, paid advertising, design, branding, and creative services. Your ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and ensure seamless coordination across different marketing functions will be essential to drive Big Green Coach's marketing success.
This role will put you at the forefront of our growth strategy and is a key strategic position.
Job description:
- Develop strategies for all Marketing activities including online and offline channels.
- Develop branding, positioning and standards for our marketing activities.
- Manage our online presence, including our website and social media channels.
- Strategise and manage paid advertising campaigns, including search engine marketing (SEM), display advertising, and social media advertising, to maximize reach and ROI.
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, leveraging marketing automation tools to nurture leads, drive customer engagement, and support customer retention efforts.
- Monitor competition (acquisitions, pricing changes and new products and features, marketing activities).
- Analyse marketing metrics and key performance indicators (KPI's) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness.
- Through marketing, drive lead generation and help with customer retention activities working in close collaboration with both sales and operations.
- Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts.
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the Marketing department.
- Analyse consumer behaviour and determine customer personas.
- Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
- Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding marketing activity and strategic goals.
- A creative mindset to develop compelling campaigns, innovate ideas and solutions to challenges. The ability to foster a culture of creativity within the team.
- Willingness to constantly evolve and a willingness to adapt to changes and embrace new technologies and methodologies.
- Empower and develop the staff you manage to innovate and improve while maximising their contribution by setting clear objectives, coaching, delegating, and providing appropriate feedback.
- Manage team holiday, sickness absence for direct reports.
- Deliver appropriate performance reviews and one to one reviews to effectively manage performance, ensuring they get the training and development they need and that they feel valued.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or business, or a related field (Essential)
- Minimum experience in similar role for 2+ years. Specifically in various marketing disciplines such as digital marketing, branding, advertising, market reach and customer acquisition (Essential)
- An effective leader who can inspire and guide the marketing team (Required)
- Well versed in various digital marketing channels including social media, content marketing, SEO, email marketing and data analytics (Essential)
- Proficiency in managing paid advertising campaigns across different platforms, with a focus on driving measurable results. (Essential)
