About the role
The Disability Resource Centre is currently looking for a Digital Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing Team.
The role requires someone to contribute to the increase in promotion of The Disability Resource Centre’s services, and to build upon its online awareness within the local and wider community.
The successful applicant will have excellent IT skills, with previous experience of writing for promotion and customer engagement purposes. They will also be comfortable using multiple social media platforms (professional and/or personal experience considered) and be comfortable with using and learning internal digital systems.
Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:
· Creating promotional content for our website and all online marketing platforms
· Manging our social media platforms to increase our activity and engagement.
· Researching relatable areas and topics for original and engaging content
· Reacting to industry related topics and content
· Improving our online equality and accessibility
· Providing data and research findings to the marketing management team when requested
· Providing reports and updates upon request
Data Management
· Adhere to Data protection, data retention, GDPR, and freedom of information requirements
· Maintain hard copy and electronic records
Other
· Undertake other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the role
· Promote and comply with The Disability Resource Centre policies and procedural requirements with special emphasis on Health and Safety and safeguarding and equal opportunities policies.
· Always comply with The Disability Resource Centre confidentiality and data protection policy
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
· Experience of writing promotional content for online marketing methods (website, direct email, social media)
· Maths and English at level 3 or above (or equivalent)
· Excellent IT skills including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Comfortable with using and learning internal platforms.
· A keen eye for detail and professional writing
Desired
· Working with participants affected by disability or long-term health conditions.
· Working in the charitable, voluntary or community sector
· Using HubSpot, or any similar customer relations management system
· Website layout and design via WordPress
· Knowledge of different data and research locations
Person
· Mainly working from home but can travel to our office locations when requested.
· Requires a satisfactory DBS check (Disclosure Baring Service)
You should be able to provide evidence of having dealt with the key areas, and as a Disability Confident Leader we welcome people who have lived experience of disability.
Hours: 8 Hours per week
Annual Salary: £26,446 (Full time equivalent based on a 37 hour week )
Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2024 (possibility of extension)
