Job description

You have a life. We like that about you.
At OCLC, we believe you'll do the best work of your life when you're living the best life possible.
We work hard to build the technology that connects thousands of today's libraries. But we also work hard to make a job at OCLC a meaningful part of a balanced life- not a substitute for one.
About the job
OCLC is a global B2B SaaS technology company specialising in the delivery of software to libraries and other cultural heritage organisations.
Our UK office is based in the centre Sheffield. Our European headquarters are in the Netherlands and our global headquarters are in Ohio, USA.
What makes OCLC special is our commitment to the world of libraries. They offer vital life chances to millions of people around the world and like libraries, supporting access to the world’s knowledge is at the heart of OCLC’s mission, with software, research, and services that enhance the way libraries connect with their communities.
Marketing Team
You will be part of a small team based in the UK, that focuses on digital marketing initiatives that are rolled out across Europe and Asia. You will also be part of a larger marketing group that spans the US, Europe, and Australia. There will be no shortage of marketing allies to collaborate with on key projects.
The Role
We are seeking a digital marketer who is keen to expand on their early career experience, with a move into a full digital marketing role.
You will be managing our automated email frameworks and supporting our organic and paid media programs, whilst working with other members of the team in our ongoing efforts to create a cohesive, integrated martech stack.
You should be enquiring and aware of the technologies that underpin customer’s marketing experiences and as analytical and IT savvy as you are creative.
This is a hybrid role working in our Sheffield office at least 3 days a week. Applicants must be UK based and have the right to work in the UK and be able to provide evidence of this upon request.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining our email activity, including our bi-weekly newsletters and campaign communications.
  • Reporting on performance of newsletters and campaigns using data-driven insights, with a focus on how we can continuously improve engagement.
  • Researching the audiences, and the content that they engage with to populate our editorial calendar with stories that will capture attention.
  • Building and optimising landing pages (in Pardot) that will service discrete campaigns or objectives for lead generation purposes.
  • Overseeing projects to ensure that multiple stakeholders are delivering components on time.
  • Using tools like slideshare, canva and wistia to create digital content assets for use across various channels.
  • Creating short-form content to feed our social and search activities.
  • Managing customer data in Salesforce and Pardot to create segmentation lists and dynamic lists.
  • Managing and maintaining integrations between Salesforce Pardot and other software tools.
Required knowledge and experience:
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a digital marketing role.
  • Proficient in working with marketing automation. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) preferred, but other technologies like Hubspot, Marketo considered.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
  • Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as marketing, or communications.
We will offer you:
  • Opportunities for personal development.
  • Hybrid & flexible working opportunities.
  • A competitive salary, 23 days holiday (increasing with service), a contributory pension scheme and private medical insurance (optional).
