This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with the team responsible for the council’s marketing, website and social media, public relations, design, advertising and print. Its purpose is to promote the council’s services to the residents of Warwick district and to share the council’s news, decision-making and initiatives with the public.
We share our news across a number of platforms, and you’ll investigate which groups in the community like to receive their news by which channel. Using that knowledge, you will support the team to brief marketing campaigns, write news articles and promotional material, adapting your content and copywriting to reach the appropriate audience in the correct format.
You will work with different service areas to understand their aims and objectives and have the opportunity to develop and share your creative ideas for digital marketing campaigns. You will then use the available statistics and analytics to evaluate how successful the campaign has been and make recommendations for improvements.
You’ll be an out-going and friendly individual as this role brings you into contact with reporters, councilors, managers and representatives from different councils and organisations.
The intention is for the postholder to work from home. However, office and hybrid working is also available. Whilst home working is offered for this role, it is a requirement that the successful candidate be available to attend meetings at our offices within Warwick District when required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate.
