Job description

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role has accountability for driving the digital marketing agenda for our Walker's brand both in the UK and globally. This position is critical to delivering the overall brand strategy, and integral to the future growth of the Walker's brand.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  • Design, build and maintain our social media presence
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and trials / tests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create content / landing pages / etc and optimise user experience
  • Work with eCommerce Commercial Manager to support online sales and build brand presence for Walker’s Shortbread
  • Work with key markets and channels to support activity and build digital marketing understanding
  • Utilise strong analytical ability to evaluate activity across multiple digital channels and customer touch points
  • Strong collaboration with agencies / partners and all internal teams
  • Evaluate emerging technologies – and provide thought leadership and perspective for change / adoption where appropriate

Experience, Skills and Competencies

  • Qualifications in Digital Marketing / have Digital Marketing network
  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience in optimising landing pages and user funnels
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics etc)
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and any other applicable coding tools) development and constraints
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

Expected to work cross-functionally and help drive and support the digital aspects of our business, we are looking for someone who demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of digital marketing and its possibilities, has an open 'can-do' attitude, is adaptable, flexible and has resilience.
