This is a full time position

The main purpose of the role is: To assist the Digital Forensic unit in providing a quality, high specification analytical and evidential service for the stakeholders of West Mercia Police which can robustly stand up to scrutiny of the legal profession and to ensure that Quality Standards including The International Organization for Standardization 17025/17020 and the Forensic Science Regulators (FSR) Codes of practice are maintained and adhered to. To conduct forensic analysis of computers, mobile devices, cloud, vehicle and other electronic devices in support of digital investigations. Both within a laboratory environment and on-scene. To provide advice and help to Officer in Charge (OIC) on digital forensic investigative strategies. To provide technical support to other investigators, prosecutors and external agencies in order to give the Force an effective response to the investigation of all crimes that contain an electronic element.
This role is commutable from Kidderminster, Birmingham, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Hereford, Malvern, Ledbury, Evesham, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Bewdley, Droitwich Spa and Pershore and is just off junction 6 of the M5.
