Summary

As a Digital Engineer you will be at the forefront of innovation and technology within the automotive manufacturing sector. Join our Digital Acceleration team and help us to explore, develop and implement digital technology solutions that solve real challenges faced by our internal customers. Who do you need to be?


  • A relevant STEM degree or equivalent experience
  • You will have strong skills across the Office 365 suite, in particular the Power Platform solutions, along with broad digital technology know how
  • You will have experience of business process mapping, process optimisation and automation using digital platforms, ideally within an engineering and manufacturing environment
  • You have project management experience and the ability to plan, deliver and complete several projects at the same time including the ability to effectively prioritise against business requirements
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate daily with peers and cross-functionally, presenting your ideas clearly
  • Comfortable working autonomously, managing your own workload and responsible for meeting your goals and challenges
  • You are a natural innovator with a curious mind, looking to improve processes and efficiencies in all that you do and have an analytical and problem-solving mindset

Key tasks and responsibilities:

What will you be doing?


Support the delivery of the Digital Acceleration strategy for Nissan European Production Engineering

  • Lead the adoption of Process Automation within engineering, defining the tools, training and governance to allow the realisation of citizen developed solutions
  • Define and deploy a digital learning pathway, working closely with the training dept and external facilitators, to level up digital literacy and provide innovative learning solutions to continue growth
  • Support R&D activities around other engineering related Digital Technologies that solve read world challenges, aligned to our Digital Acceleration strategy
  • Engage internal business stakeholders to gather use case requirements and build business cases to justify investment in digital technology
  • Work cross functionally with IS and IT to ensure an aligned approach to the overall Digital Acceleration Roadmap
