The Role
As a content designer in the digital experience team, you’ll put users at the heart of our digital services and products. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the University to deliver written content that meets both user and business needs.
This is a pivotal moment in the digital experience team as we develop our ways of working in line with University values and objectives. You’ll use your specialist content design experience and skills to support and embed a user-centred approach. You’ll play a key part in enhancing the understanding of content design across the University, working to embed best practice and creating enhanced user journeys for our audiences.
What you'll be doing:
- Planning, creating and iterating written content based on user research, data and insight
- Using content design methods to embed human-centred design principles and enhance stakeholder understanding
- Documenting content design decisions and helping to develop our design system
- Transforming complex language and processes into easy to understand content
- Creating and translating user needs and stories into clear, accessible and informative content
- Understanding, developing and implementing copy style guides and standards, including web accessibility
