The Team

The Digital Content Assistant plays a pivotal role in the team, creating engaging content that sells our ever-growing catalogue, giving customers the detail to make an informed decision that will build brand trust and loyalty.

The Digital launch team is made up of Supplier to Site specialists and core homeware & furniture specialists. Working closely with the newly established Product Optimisation team, we’re looking to raise the bar on our processes, content and site experience through collaboration and efficiency.

The Role

As a Digital Content Assistant, you will support the Digital Growth team in launching all new products onto Dunelm.com for customers to buy. Day to day, you will be responsible for the full set up & maintenance of products on Dunelm.com, including inputting attributes, writing engaging and informative on-brand product copy & titles, and uploading product imagery.

You will be responsible for your own workload and completing tasks to agreed guidelines and processes, working at pace and with attention to detail to hit key deadlines and get it right first time. There is a lot of repetition and detail that you will need to work with day in day out and ensure we get through it effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a key member of the product launch team to set up new products for the website to required guidelines and process for a variety of different departments and product types.
  • Input accurate product data & detail to provide customers with the information and advice they need to make an informed purchase.
  • Write engaging and informative on brand copy whilst adhering to the brand tone of voice and SEO guidelines, making sure our customers have a true understanding of a product without physically seeing it in real life.
  • Manage your own workload, completing all assigned tickets/jobs to agreed guidelines and processes, working at pace and with attention to detail to hit key deadlines and get it right first time.
  • Work cross-functionally with buying teams, product designers & technologists and wider digital teams (including Digital Growth and SEO) to see and learn about new products as well as understand how to best execute the online launch.
  • Work with the Product Optimisation team to join up on content improvements & be aware of/understand the impact of changes on new features, templates, product imagery, regular content updates.
  • Be the guardian of quality product content, rejecting anything that doesn’t meet with your high standards but work with the Launch Exec / Senior Exec to ensure a resolution is found to enable product launch.
  • Keep everything we do simple and efficient.

About You

You will play a critical role in delivering growth for Dunelm.com, who you are and how you deliver is just as important to us, as what you deliver, therefore for this role you will ideally be / have:

  • A keen eye for detail and champion accuracy & consistency on Dunelm.com
  • A passion for writing with good spelling & grammar
  • Strong team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage, collaborate & work comfortably within the digital team and with key stakeholders.
  • Huge pride in own work and passionate about upholding standards
  • Proactive, curious & keen to continuously improve.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Understand what good product content looks like
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills. Able to manage & prioritise own workload and shift focuses based on changing priorities to ensure we meet all deadlines.
  • Ecommerce or retail experience is an advantage but not a requirement.
